Manta Reef full of Manta's!!!
Beautiful dive out at Manta Reef yesterday morning! From the moment we hit the water we had our first Giant Manta, literally within the first 10 seconds of being in the water! That was only the begining as we saw another 2 Giant Manta's and between the 3 of them they just kept circling back along the Northern side of the reef. Next up we had a friendly Loggerhead Turtle who kept swimming back to us to check us out, very chilled Turtle experience. Then crossing over to the Southern wall we had another 2 Giant Manta's waiting for us! In other words we had Manta visits throughout the dive, an absolutely amazing experience! :)

Smalleye Stingrays and Manta's!!!
What an amazing dive we had out this morning on Galleria! Sun was shining and the ocean was flat, so beautiful even before the dive! Everything seemed to happen on the drop as well, straight away we had not only 1 Giant Manta cleaning but 2 Smalleye Stingrays as well! They seemed pretty relaxed with us and while we were watching them 3 Devil Rays came over the top of us! Was a spectacular dive and we really couldnt of asked for anything better :)

Not only did the Manta's make the dive but the conditions were great as well, visibility on top form as well as not much current either, really couldnt have asked for a better way to start the morning :)

Manta Rays in Tofo!!!
The Manta's have been back in numbers these last good couple of days as well as the Whale Sharks! This morning we had an amazing dive down at Manta Reef, straight from the drop we had a little visit from a huge Loggerhead Turtle which was followed by a nice sized Reef Manta, not to bad a start! Our local 2 Stone Fish were still there hanging around, this time also accompanied by a cool Black Leaf Fish. There were a few big friendly Potato Groupers hanging around as well as another Reef Manta which had a big Cobia come cruising after him. Just to finish off the dive we had a pretty impressive Giant Manta cleaning, swimming in nice slow circles and giving us a great show! Lets keep the good times rolling! :)

300 Cownose Rays on Galleria!!!
Awesome dive out today at Galleria! Not only did we drop down into a huge school of Yellowfin Trevally but we had another school of Bigeye Trevally mixed with about 30 Barracuda and a variety of others. As we were trying to take all this in ( as the Visibility was a good 25meters! ) close to about 300 Cownose Rays came swimming overhead, they literally blocked out the light above us! Galleria was so full of life from the begining to the end, including our new Sea Moth ( we have now seen him pretty much every time over the last two weeks ) 2 leaf fish, the trusty Sea Apple and 3 Marbled Octopus! Was a super amazing dive! :)

Humpback Whales on Scuba!!!
Beautiful dive out this morning on Oasis with Humpback Whales! Had a awesome dive out today in the blue waters at Oasis, not long after we dropped we had our first Whitetip Reef Shark, this was then also followed by a decent sized Grey Reef Shark swimming over the Cleaning Station. Our new friend the Napoleon Wrasse ( who has become quite the regular ) was also out and about, swimming around with a Giant Manta only a few meters away from him! It was at this time that 2 Humpback Whales came gliding past, always something special to witness! The dive however was still not over, nearing the end of the reef we came across a free swimming Giant Moray Eel, managed to follow him for about 20meters before he found a new hiding hole. Then just to end everything off we had 4 Whitetip Reef Sharks all hiding together in a large crack along the reef, looked like they were all enjoying a nice nap! :)

More Sharks out in the North!!!
Some beautiful dives out this morning in the North. Starting off at Reggies we had 3 Whitetip Reef Sharks, 1 Grey Reef Shark and found a awesome little White Leaf Fish in a new area so lets hope he hangs around for awhile! Then during our surface interval we had quite a few visits from the Humpback Whales, one of them was teaching her calf how to breach just off from us, was something really special to see! Wasnt just the Whales breaching either as we had a few Bottlenose Dolphins showing off there air skills! Second dive was down at Oasis which there we found 3 Whitetip Reef Sharks, 2 separate White Leaf Fish, a small Marble Octopus, our friend the Sea Apple and to finish off the dive 12 Devil Rays playing below us as we were approaching the Safety Stop! Amazing day out on the ocean! :)

Second dive at Oasis was where everything seemed to be! Right from the begining of the dive we had Sharks! Starting with a decent sized Grey Reef swimming above us to then Whitetip Reef Sharks all over the place, the most seen at one time was 4! In total at least 8 Whitetip Reef Sharks and 2 Grey Reefs. Humpback Whales while Diving!!!
Humpback Whale sightings have officially started! The first one seen was on Sunday during a dive at Reggies, came right under the divers during their Safety Stop! Second sighting was this afternoon down at Galleria, 2 Humpback Whales came cruising past us literally just after we dropped and started our descent, was amazing as they came quite close! The Whales however are not the only sea creatures around as we have recently ( Monday ) found a Indian Ocean Walkman on Salon who seems to be hanging around as well as a Blue Ribbon Eel on Reggies. Some really awsome finds lately! All in all some great diving down here at the moment! :)

Reggies at its best!!!
An absolutely mind blowing dive out this morning at Reggies! With only a few minutes into the dive we came across our first Manta, a beautiful Reef Manta sighting is always a good start! That however was just the begining as we also found 2 Loggerhead Turtles, a Grey Reef Shark, Whitetip Reef Shark, a huge Smalleye Stingray, a Napoleon Wrasse ( the same one that was recently seen on Oasis ) and 2 Giant Manta's to end off the dive! Current was steady, providing us with a enjoyable drift dive. Water temperature has also risen slighty which is always welcome. Napoleon Wrasse at OASIS!
Napoleon Wrasse Seen on Oasis this Morning! Just another update on todays diving. Oasis was our first dive out this morning. Dropping down on the Southern side we were met by 2 massive Grey Reef Sharks as well as 4 Whitetip Reef Sharks all cruising around next to us with not one of them being bothered with us hanging around and we got to spend about 10 mins with them! A little bit further along the reef we came across a Loggerhead Turtle sleeping in one of the over-hangs and then a Jenkins Whiptail Ray who did a nice big loop around all of us. Then out of no where came a huge Napoleon Wrasse! This was definitely the star attraction on the dive! Lastly we saw a white Leaf Fish followed by another Whitetip Reef Shark sleeping on the bottom. An absolutely amazing dive! :)

Juvenile Painted Frog Fish found on Reggies!!!
Updating on our last two dives out at our Northern dive sites: Starting with Oasis which was our first dive yesterday morning, what a dive that was! Right on the drop we were visited by a small Whitetip Reef Shark, who came swimming through our group as relaxed as anything! Next up, again a small Grey Reef Shark gave us a quick look around before heading back over the reef but that was when 2 Giant Manta's pulled in covered in Remora's. They stayed with us for around 10 minutes and seemed completely at ease with us, circling all around us in there awesome dance like movements was just incredible! Nearing the end of our dive we had another Giant Manta as well as a very curious Whitetip Reef Shark swimming along the bottom, fantastic dive! Then off to Reggies this morning. Straight from the drop we seemed to have everything there with us! The first to arrive were 2 huge Spotted Eagle Rays with beautiful long tails hanging around the cleaning station for about 5 minutes, they however were also joined by 9 Devil Rays who came cruising by! As we carried on with the reef we found a new visitor to Reggies, a beautiful little Painted Frog Fish! Once again as we were nearing the end of our dive we found a "sleeping" Leopard Shark along with 3 other Whitetip Reef Sharks! Amazing two dives! :)

Brindle Bass sighted at Rob's Bottom!!!
Latest update from this mornings dive down to Rob's Bottom. Straight away from once we had all dropped down onto the reef we came across a Giant Guitar Shark which with two others we had them popping past us every couple of minutes through-out the dive! They however were not the only visitors we had, again from the descent, during the dive and the ascent we had sightings of a few different groups of Devil Rays which is always amazing to witness! The star attraction of the dive as well as a new sighting for us at Rob's was an incredibly huge Brindle Bass who was super relaxed and seemed to be enjoying the company of all of us. We can only hope that he enjoys this reef and decides to stay awhile longer :)

Diving at its BEST!!!
Another update of the diving over the last two days. Starting with the dives on the 15th. Galleria was up first and what an amazing dive that was! Dropping down onto the reef we instantly had a Spotted Eagle Ray hovering nearby, following we came across 2 Jenkins Whiptail Rays relaxing on the sandy bottom, after only about 3mins the Devil Rays came in, this was the magical part of our dive! We were surrounded on all sides by various schools of Devil Rays which lasted right up until we broke the surface, they seemed to be completely at ease with us and just kept on circling and playing around us, absolutely incredible to witness! Moving on to the dive that took place yesterday which was to Reggies. Once again another Spotted Eagle Ray was found below us during the descent, once down we had the pleasure of observing the Eagle Ray in a calm and relaxed state, even coming back to the divers for us to get a closer look! Nearer to the end of our dive is where everything came out to play, 4 Whitetip Reef Sharks were seen as well as 3 Jenkins Whiptail Rays and an extremely curious Leopard Shark with a couple of juvenile Golden Trevally's trailing. He stayed down below as we slowly made our way back up to the surface, another fantastic diving experience! :)
